For Serious...

Well, hello there.

I'm Jessie -- office manager by day, writer by night.

Uhh, welcome to my blog...
...This is my first post...

Ok. So. I'm a recent college graduate (which is about the equivalent of being a high school graduate these days -- it's just expected). I studied English with a focus on journalism. I was editor-in-chief of our bi-weekly campus newspaper for a year and a half, and I've been interning/writing/freelancing for a national tween girl's magazine for about 2 years. I'd love to be an editor of a magazine one day, but I can't afford to start at the bottom of the totem pole right now because, to be honest, the pay sucks.

So, I decided to start this blog so I could keep writing (you know, honing my skills) so I don't feel like my degree is totally going to waste. I also tend to have a lot of random thoughts while I'm driving to and from work (an hour each way) everyday and figured a blog is a good outlet. Because I'm sure you really care.

Anywho, I'm going to try to keep up with adding at least one new post daily. But we'll see how that goes ;O)
